Before selling a horse, Ed first balances them up in the arena. He then exposes them to everything from a Ranch branding or working cattle in the pasture, to roping, penning and working cattle or buffalo in the arena. This gives them a good balance of schooling and practical applications, as well as providing Ed with a good understanding of their capabilities and where they excel.

Training isn’t the only consideration given to selling horses, when Ed sells a horse he takes great care in matching the horse to the rider. Whether the horse is for a weekend rider going to ranch Ramada or a performance horse show person, the horse has to suit the riders ability and aspirations.
